Material Notes Canada Balsam is extuded from the Abies Balsamea, which grows in Canada and the northern and northwestern U.S.A.
Canada balsam is a very viscous, nonpourable honeylike and crystal clear mass of pale yellow color. Its odor is fresh, sweet balsamic with an almost fruity floral topnote.
It can be used as a fixative in finer pine needle fragrances.
